Back At The Beach

The PNJ article is sort of ironic: Parade ends beach drought. While this is the first parade on the Beach since "Ivan the Terrible", it was a beautiful day. The people of Pensacola needed weather gear for their Saturday parade, but things cleared out for this resurrection of Mardi Gras.

Navarre Beach had to move their parade to the mainland as they still haven't recovered enough to support a large gathering of people. To be honest, parking hasn't been easy to find on any of the beaches for quite some time, but it is more difficult than ever.

Barrier Island Girl has pictures from all of the local parades, so hie thee hence.

Great parade pics. Since this a Navy town you may want to be aware that the Navy color guard were in dress blues not black and white. sincerely Morrie
