Royal Ambiguity

Nan Harper is a very smart woman who also is usually a good writer. So, why would she invite everyone to see "the royal couple" and not explain who they are? Could it be one of those fake Mardi Gras royalty things?

No. We think she means the King and Queen of Spain. But you have to read behind, and between, and over the top of Nan's lines to figure that out.

No matter. She's right when she says, "This is a once in a lifetime, historic event, and we want to capitalize on it for the Breeze and for the Beach."

Indeed we do. The entire beach should turn out. Then we could apologize for siding with those fruity Redcoats and ask our former owner to take us back, forget the leases, and give us deeds.
