The Opaque Orient

The White House is raising doubts that North Korea really detonated an underground nuclear device Monday. Three days ago, five North Korean soldiers who strayed over the border into South Korea also stumped us:

"It is unclear if North Korea sent the group as an intentional provocation or if they were going fishing at a nearby stream... . Only one of the five men was armed, said officials."
