Escambia County school superintendent Jim Paul has announced he will not seek reelection this year, after all.
"So as not to be the martyred slaves of time, be drunk, be continually drunk! On wine, on poetry or on virtue as you wish."Rick Outzen of The Independent News claims "Paul announced his withdrawal from the 2008 election because the PNJ was about to do another big story on him."
Could be. Likely there were more embarrassments to come. As Charlie Chaplin once said, "A man's true character comes out when he's drunk."
