The Pensacola News Journal today issues a big 'Thank You' to those members of the Florida congressional delegation -- our two U.S. senators and a dozen Democratic congressmen -- who successfully opposed the Bush administration's proposal to drill in over half of the Gulf of Mexico's "Area 181" south of Pensacola.
Specifically not included was Jeff Miller (R-Chumuckla) and 12 of his oily Republican colleagues from Florida. Miller betrayed the beaches by promoting Big Oil ahead of his own constituents' interests.
