The Zoo at Gulf Breeze has (barely) made it into the new year, thanks to last minute support from Santa Rosa and Escambia county. (No thanks to Okaloosa County, as the Northwest Florida Daily News neglects to point out.)
So, now it's scheduling one special event each month in 2009 to draw more visitors.
January's event? A Hibernation Celebration on January 17, "which will focus on animals that hibernate or slow down during the winter."
That would include us, you may suppose from the light blogging of late.
