Lots of blogs, newspapers, electronic media, and other web sites are providing links for those who want to make a cash donation for the relief of Hurricane Katrina victims. A good place to start is Interstate4 Jamming, where we are advised links to creditable charities will remain at the top of the blog.
Like almost everybody, one supposes, Pensacola Beach residents will have their own personal favorites. However, many beach residents will remember from Hurricanes Erin, Opal, and Ivan the timely (first on the scene), plucky (last to leave), and hugely generous (sandwiches, water, and more) help we received from The Salvation Army.
